The Hytera HP702 is a next-generation DMR portable two-way radio engineered for professional deployments where audio clarity, ruggedness, and all-day battery life are non-negotiable. As part of Hytera’s H-Series — the culmination of the company’s experience as a founding member of the DMR Association and the first to successfully deploy DMR Tier II and Tier III systems — the HP702 delivers a compact, IP68-rated radio with a 24-hour lithium polymer battery, AI-based noise suppression, and a 93dB forward-facing speaker in a body only 29.5mm thick weighing less than 11 ounces.
The HP702 is designed for customer service, field operations, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, public safety, and any environment where workers need reliable communication across full shifts. It supports analog and digital conventional operation, DMR Tier II and Tier III trunking, MPT and XPT trunking, IP Multi-Site Connect, and DMR Simulcast systems — making it deployable across virtually any existing radio network infrastructure. GPS and Bluetooth are available as factory-configured options and must be selected at time of ordering. An intrinsically safe UL913-certified variant is available for hazardous location environments. The HP702 must be programmed with your licensed frequencies before use. The Hytera Customer Programming Software (CPS) is included with your purchase. Programming also requires the Hytera PC152 Programming Cable for H-Series Portable Radios, sold separately.

The HP782 features a 2.4-inch HD TFT-LCD color display with a full keypad, nine-grid navigation interface, text messaging, multiple user profiles, and an interface switcher for rapid access to frequently used screens. Both radios share the same battery, charger, and physical accessory ecosystem.
What is the intrinsically safe (UL913) version and who needs it?
The HP702-G-BT-UL913 variants are certified to UL913 — the standard for intrinsically safe electrical equipment for use in hazardous locations where flammable gases, vapors, or combustible dust may be present. These variants are required for environments such as oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, grain handling operations, and mining sites where standard radios are not permitted. The UL913 variants use a different battery than the standard HP702. Always verify your facility’s hazardous location classification and consult with Atlantic Radio Communications before ordering an intrinsically safe variant.
Are GPS and Bluetooth included on all HP702 models?
