Incoming radio traffic is directed exclusively to the user’s ear, completely concealing system transmissions from surrounding civilians. The PMLN8342A integrates with Motorola’s IMPRES Smart Audio System to automatically normalize voice output and suppress background noise.
Built for executive protection details, law enforcement, private security, and discreet hospitality teams, the dual-wire layout routes the acoustic earpiece tube separately from the microphone and PTT housing — making it highly adaptable for routing beneath uniform coats, heavy jackets, or plainclothes attire. The PMLN8342A is the current revision of the legacy PMLN8342.
The PTT housing incorporates a responsive PTT pad alongside a separate programmable function key assignable via CPS to trigger emergency alerts or cycle channel scans. The translucent acoustic tube features a quick-disconnect twist mechanism for easy field cleaning. Ensure the multi-pin connector thumb screw is fully locked into the radio’s accessory port before commencing operations.
